Instructor at 27OTU
At the end of his tour with 150 Squadron in September 1943, Flying Officer Langlois returned to 1 Personnel Dispatch Centre in West Kirby as Acting Squadron Leader. His new posting was to 27 Operational Training Unit at RAF Church Broughton in Derbyshire with a promotion to Flight Lieutenant where he instructed in flying and crew organisation.

During his time at 27 OTU, Flight Lieutenant Langlois was responsible for the instruction of a large number of pilots and developed a reputation as a skilled instructor. Two of the pilots that he instructed were Flying Officer Henry Baskerville and Flying Officer Alan Stutter both of the RAAF. F/O Baskerville went onto complete a successful tour with 460 Squadron and F/O Stutter with 463 Squadron. F/O Stutter was awarded the DFC in November 1945.
His duties drew him to the attention of Headquarters Staff and in May 1944 he was transferred to 5 Group Headquarters at Morton Hall in Morton near Swinderby, with a promotion to Flight Lieutenant, however he would continue as Acting Squadron Leader.
